THE CHANGING TRENDS IN EDUCATION SYSTEM IN INDIA
ON THE 29TH JULY, 2017 IN GGI SEMINAR HALL AT 11 A.M.
You may be disappointed if you fail, but you are doomed if you don’t try
All the faculty members of GGI were present in the GGI seminar hall to participate and interact with Ambassador Deepak Vohra who extensively spoke on the changing trends in the education system of India.
He spoke about the rapid changes which are taking place in the last few years in general and education in particular. The change is seen right from the course curriculum to the delivery of lectures. These changes have changed our world completely and offer unique opportunities to expedite development.
He spoke about the key behaviours of the 21st century like problem-solving, self-management, adapting to change, conceptualizing, analysing and communicating which are going to give confidence for career readiness. He emphasized on learning three important things i.e Motivation, Time and Content to learn in the 21st century. Times are changing for the betterment of the society, so few days down the line the world may look up to e-learning and e-commerce more than the formal learning which is the current trend. He spoke on the Government introduced portal SWAYAM and asked the faculty to be a part of it. This will help them to enhance their knowledge and will also give them an opportunity to be motivators for their students. Students of today must focus on Creativity and Innovation than only a classroom training in order to face challenges and succeed in this competitive world.
He conveyed a message to all the teachers to be motivators in exploring the young talent and preach the students not only to do things differently but also to do different things at the same time.
Executive Director of GGI has conveyed a message to all present that teachers must stand exemplary to students by maintaining proper demeanour. He thanked Ambassador Deepak Vohra for his valuable presentation.
