This year Gulzar Group of Institutes has celebrated Diwali in a special way and a lot of new and innovative ideas were framed on this occasion. The theme of this Diwali was “Green Diwali clean Diwali “
Students and staff went together to the orphanages and celebrated Diwali by distributing gifts among the students over there. In order to create the sound of crackers, an innovative idea of bursting a balloon with the candle was the highlight of the festival. It was not only sounding great but it curtailed the pollution levels in and around that area to a little extent. A lot of other activities were also arranged like rangoli making, human mannequins to name a few. GGI celebrated green Diwali by planting trees in the campus and students were seen doing this activity with full zeal and enthusiasm.
A selfie campaign encouraged all the students to participate and tag on the facebook page of GGI.Students of GGI approached people, created awareness of Green Diwali clean Diwali, and requested them to be a part of the same. Students asked the public to contribute towards controlling of pollution, to which they responded positively.
Executive Director S.Gurkirat Singh participated in the activity and thanked all present for the wonderful initiative taken towards pollution control. He also conveyed that Judiciary is ready to impose a ban on burning crackers in few states to control pollution. Keeping this in mind and to create responsibility among students, GGI has taken this initiative which was liked by one and all.
