3rd Day of IKG PTU Inter-Zonal Youth Festival at Gulzar Group of Institutes



The concluding day witnessed the extraordinary performances in Western Vocal Solo, Western Group Song, International Folk Dance, Indian Folk Dance, Bhangra and the final prize distribution ceremony of the IKG PTU Inter-Zonal Youth Festival 2017 held at Gulzar Group of Institutes.
It is important to stress that this mega festival witnessed the participation of above 45 teams in various competitions involving more than 1200 students. The event was flagged off with due enthusiasm and magnificence.
500 students of various schools also visited the Institute, attended an informative Seminar; they have been taken to the Exhibition of the creative and innovative Projects made by the students of GGI.
The festival had stiff competitions in the fields of Fine Arts (Painting, Rangoli, Clay Modeling), Theatre Events like Skit, One Act Play, Mime, Mimicry, Singing including Western Song, Group Song – Indian and Western, Vaar Singing and Folk Dance of Bhangra and Giddha coupled with Literary contests like Quiz, Debate and Elocution requiring brains and brawn.
S.Gurcharan Singh, Chairman, GGI expressed his exhilaration and his profound joy at the assemblage of such a vast pool of talent in the state who displayed extraordinary spirit in the entire event. He congratulated the winners as well as all the participants for putting up such a good show in good faith and right spirit where competing is more important than winning or losing and represents a learning workshop.
S.Gurkirat Singh, the Executive Director, GGI thanked the participating colleges across Punjab. He also expressed his good wishes to all the winning teams and inspired them to learn and achieve more. He also stressed that education remains incomplete in the absence of extra-curricular activities since the same lend a balance to one’s personality.
